Track and Field Program

R.A.R.A. is introducing our new Track Club, coached by Dave Hutson of Rochester College. It is designed so that the beginner or the expert will benefit. The participants will be divided into age-appropriate groups and coached in track and field events, such as sprints, distance events, long jump, discus, and shot put. Coach Hutson will also concentrate on other areas, including running form, proper diet for athletes, circuit training, and mental preparation. Practices will be held three times a week beginning in May and will run through the end of July. Throughout the season, all participants will have the opportunity to compete in five to six track meets sponsored by USA Track & Field, AAU, and Hershey Track Series. Meets will vary between the weekend and weeknights.
