RARA PRESCHOOL CLASSES

Classes begin in September. All classes are held at the R.A.R.A. Toddler Room at 104 East Second Street. *Please note that people registered for the fall session will have a chance to pre-register for the winter session, but only for the exact same class. Persons wishing to change classes must register at the regular winter registration.

A) PARENT/TODDLER CLASSES

Enjoy this popular class experience and spend some special one on one time with your child! Parent or caregiver participates with their child in group activities, songs, crafts, playtime, music and movement, and snack time. Young children (12-18 months) will enjoy an organized playtime with mom or dad while meeting new playmates. Each Class has a maximum of 10 children. NO SIBLINGS AND NO INFANTS IN THESE CLASSES, PLEASE. Your child must be the stated age by the start date.

B) BY MYSELF CLASSES

This program is designed for a child's first time experience in a preschool setting. Children enjoy sensory tables, games, story time, songs and group activities. We help them develop vital social and pre-K skills. Weekly themes focus on learning numbers, alphabet, days of the week, science and literature. Snacks and juice are included. Parents please sign up for one day to be a parent helper at the first day of class. Every child loves to see one of their parents in their classroom. Maximum 10 children per class. Children must be potty trained; no pull-ups allowed.

C) FAMILY FUN TODDLER CLASS

Parents, enjoy a toddler class with your children. Infants and children ages 1 to 5 years are welcome. This is a great way to attend a toddler class if you have more than one pre-K child. This class has the same format as the parent/toddler class. Each child that is walking and will be participating in any activities must be registered separately. Infants in carriers are free, but please note on registration if you will be bringing a child in a carrier. You MUST be registering more than one child (or bringing an infant in a carrier) to register for this class.

D) PRESCHOOL SUPER SATURDAYS

Your child is guaranteed to have a great time at these fun events! All classes are held at the RARA Toddler Room. Don't miss out!!! Spots are limited and will fill fast.

BY MYSELF TODDLER CAMP

Children can enjoy a fun-filled week of preschool camp. Camp will be held at the R.A.R.A. Toddler Room, located at 104 East Second Street (R.A.R.A. offices). This popular camp includes activities especially designed for preschoolers like painting, group games, story time, arts & crafts and summer camp songs with new friends!! On Wednesdays, meet at the Rochester Municipal Park for a morning of nature walks, outdoor games, crafts and swimming in the wading pool (weather permitting - wear bathing suits under RARA shirt). CHILDREN MUST BE POTTY TRAINED - NO PULL-UPS. Limited to 15 children per session. T-shirt, daily snack and juice provided.

GET READY FOR PRESCHOOL TODDLER CAMP

This 2-day mini-camp is designed for children who will be starting By Myself classes, or similar preschool program, in the fall. It will help toddlers become familiar with a preschool routine while enjoying games, songs, stories, crafts and circle time with friends. Pre-K skills are emphasized (ABC's, colors, days-of-the-week, etc.) Snacks and juice are provided. Children attending the 11:30 session may bring own lunch, if desired. Class is limited to 12 children. Children MUST be potty trained - NO PULL-UPS!
