October is Fire Prevention Month! Come over to the Rochester Hills Fire Station at 1111 Horizon Court (off Livernois between Avon and Hamlin). We'll learn a lot about fire safety and see the fire trucks. Bring your camera! Pre-registration is required. Please sign-up each person you are bringing including siblings and adults!
HALLOWEEN PARTY
Ages 2-10 w/parent
Join us for some "spooktacular" fun at this Halloween bash! There will be games, prizes, crafts and much more. There will be entertainment and delight for people of all ages. Please wear your Halloween costume. There is limited enrollment in this popular event, so sign-up early.
POLARIOD ROAD RALLY
Sign up your team of 3 or 4 people to race around town taking pictures of you and your group with specific items! Each team must have at least 3 people and no more than 4 people. Each team must bring a Polaroid Camera, and enough film for 20 pictures. Rules and clues will be given out at the start of the rally. The registration fee includes late night munchies, pop, coffee, tea and prizes. You are sure to have a blast. Spots fill up quickly! This program runs in the fall.

Santa is waiting to see you! We will have a delicious breakfast at Elias Brothers Big Boy Restaurant, (located in the Campus Corners shopping center at University and Livernois). Every good boy and girl will receive a photo with Santa plus a very special gift!
DINNER WITH SANTA

Santa is waiting to see you! We will have a delicious dinner at Elias Brothers Big Boy Restaurant (located in the Campus Corners shopping center at University and Livernois). Every good boy and girl will receive a photo with Santa plus a very special gift.
*Parents will choose their meal right off the menu and receive a separate bill payable by cash to Big Boy for their meal, beverage and tip. Children will choose from a very special dinner bar. Please specify the number of adults when registering! Space is limited!
MOM & SON DATE NIGHT
Moms have a special night with your favorite little guys. Dance the night away and get your pictures taken by a professional photographer. You can enjoy some snacks and refreshments between songs. Pictures take approximately 8 weeks to process and deliver. You can purchase additional pictures through the photographer. Please sign up early so you don't miss this popular event. This program runs in the winter time.
DADDY DAUGHTER SWEETHEART DANCE
Calling all Dads! Sign-up early and plan to spend a magical evening with your daughter that you will both cherish forever. You'll enjoy dancing to the top hits spun by our awesome DJ. You will receive a professional photograph with the option of purchasing extra photos that evening.
FAMILY MAGIC SHOW
Watch and be amazed as one of Metro Detroit's premiere magicians presents an exciting show for the whole family. This fun-filled performance features award winning magic and illusion, live animals and audience participation. Don't miss the magic! Register early before the limited number of spots vanish.
OUT ON THE FARM EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA
Hop on over for fun for the whole family! Various activities will be set up, including outdoor activities - so dress accordingly. Sign up for the Egg Hunt time you desire. Everyone will receive a picture with the Easter Bunny.

FUN RUN/WALK
To kick off the CITY OF ROCHESTER HERITAGE FESTIVAL over Memorial Day weekend, the annual Fun Run/Walk, held in conjunction with the Rochester Heritage Festival, will begin at the Rochester Hills Public Library at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The course will include Gateway Park, Paint Creek Trail, Rochester Municipal Park and under Rochester Road! This is a 5K course, which begins and ends at Rochester Hills Public Library and includes a few steep grades. There will also be a Children's Fun Run.

TONS OF TRUCKS
Kids! Parents! Truck enthusiasts! Come join us for this spectacular new free event that is being co-sponsored by the City of Rochester Hills. You know your child loves trucks, you see them on the streets, you see them hard at work. NOW come and see them close up! You can climb inside a cool dump truck, steer a bulldozer, see what it's like inside a real fire truck and hear yourself over the police car loud speaker. There will be TONS of construction vehicles, a fire truck, a police car, and more. All will be on display for you and your truck enthusiast to check out up close and personal. Kids can have their picture taken with any police vehicle or city employee. Parents, don't forget your cameras! Learn everything you've ever wanted to know about a city vehicle and all kids will receive hats, stickers, refreshments, and a coloring book containing the displayed vehicles.

PRESCHOOL PAJAMA PARTY
Kids, come dressed in your favorite pajamas! Enjoy some fun with your friends (without your parents)! We will make crafts, read stories, have a pizza dinner and watch a video. Don't miss out! Parents, take this time to go out and enjoy yourselves while your young ones enjoy this fun activity! Children must be potty trained.
ANNUAL TEDDY BEAR PICNIC
Children, bring your favorite teddy bear to Rochester Municipal Park (pavilion) for some fun in the sun! We will have a teddy bear parade and many other fun activities for you and your favorite bear. Bring your own lunch and blanket to sit on and R.A.R.A. will provide the drink. Parents/Caregivers are required to stay.
MOTHER/DAUGHTER FUN IN THE SUN DINNER TIME PICNIC
Mom and daughter are invited to spend a fun-filled evening at Rochester Municipal Park (pavilion) for some fun in the evening sun! Participants will play games, work on crafts, and other assorted, wacky activities. Be sure to bring your own picnic dinner and a blanket to sit on. First, everyone will munch away on their picnic dinner, then get ready for some fun mother/daughter activities!
PEE WEE OLYMPICS - WHERE EVERYONE'S A WINNER!
Calling all future champions! Rochester Municipal Park (Kiwanis Shelter) is the place to be if you're 3-5 years old and want to show your stuff! Don't let your little Olympian miss out on any of the fun-filled events. All participants will receive a participation ribbon, juice and a snack.
Events will include the paper plate discus, marshmallow shot put, miniature golf, M&M marathon, Big Wheel and tricycle obstacle course (YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BIG WHEEL OR BIKE TO PARTICIPATE!), 10 meter toddler trot AND we'll conduct a diaper derby for younger, crawling siblings. There will also be a red, white and blue parade at the end of the event, so decorate your bikes, strollers and yourselves! Parents/Caregivers are required to stay for this event.
SUMMER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
If you are entering the eighth grade or higher in the fall and would like to volunteer for R.A.R.A. this summer in our day camps, SCAMP or special events, please stop by the R.A.R.A. office, 104 E. Second Street, to fill out a volunteer application. You will be notified by mail as to your placement. Volunteering is fun, rewarding and a great way to spend the summer!
