3-6 Years Judo

Judo classes are taught by a certified USJF black belt with over 30 years of teaching experience, including 7 years in adaptive programming for peoples with special needs. Class emphasizes safety and respect for others while being fun as well. Beginner Judokas will learn to fall safely, as well as master the fundamentals of basic Judo (throwing and pinning; there are no kicks and punching) and can eventually earn belt ranks. Just wear long sleeve sweats tops and bottoms. Gis (uniforms) can be purchased from the instructor when the participant decides on a gi.

 This program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at RARA from 5:15-6:00.

Start Smart Move and Play

 The Start Smart Move and Play program is a developmentally appropriate introductory fine and gross motor skills program for children 2-3 years old. Developing these motor skills in a safe, fun and age appropriate environment will ensure that the participants gain strength and confidence in their body. It will help them get exercise and physical activity. Finally, developing these skills will help a child’s ability to do more complex skills in future activities, whether it’s playing a sport, doing school projects or drawing/painting.

Parent participation is required. This class will take place at RARA.

Start Smart Sports Development: Multi-Sport

The Start Smart Sports Development Program is a developmentally appropriate introductory sports program for children 3-5 years old. The program prepares children and their parents for organized sports in a fun, non-threatening environment. Age appropriate equipment from Franklin Sports® is utilized in the program. Sports skills developed in this program are: throwing, catching, batting and kicking.

Start Smart Sports Development: Football

Start Smart Football is a developmentally appropriate introductory football program for children 5-7 years old. The program prepares children for organized football in a fun, non-threatening environment.

Start Smart Football prepares children and their parents for organized football without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment from Franklin Sports® is used in teaching throwing, catching, kicking/punting and running/agility.

Little V's Soccer Program with Vardar Soccer

Little V's is a beginner soccer program for toddlers and young children, aged 3-6 years old. Our program provides a safe and fun learning environment for your child to become engaged with soccer at its foundation. Your little mess maker will have a blast in this hands-on camp! They will enjoy many artistic,
mess-making moments as they create marvelously messy masterpieces. We plan to paint,
sculpt, scribble, and giggle our way to discovering mess-making at its very best. These are not

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Camp - PM Camp (Registration begins April 1)

“And he was still hungry!” What will that hungry caterpillar eat next?? In this camp, the kids will
cut, tear, glue, collage, and sculpt the day away as they create cute caterpillars, colorful ladybugs,
and more, all inspired by the art and stories of beloved children’s author Eric Carle. You’ll want to
make room on the fridge to display all of these adorable masterpieces! Please pack a nut free

Young artists just can’t wait to rhyme and paint with Kidcreate! In this camp, we’ll read the beloved nursery rhymes of Mother Goose as we imagine the fantastic! Dinomania Camp - PM Camp (Registration begins April 1)

Is your child crazy about dinosaurs? Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and Diplodocus- they love
them all! The kids will learn cool facts about our extinct friends and be inspired to create fantastic
works of dino art. We’ll create fossils, dino eggs, dioramas and more! A variety of art materials,
such as papier mache, clay, and paint, will be used as we study these enormous creatures.

STEAM Classes with Challenge Island

Challenge Island is an award-winning STEAM enrichment program where kids solve fun, hands-on “challenges” which teach them about STEAM fundamentals, crosscurricular topics, plus important success skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and much more. Students work together in small ""tribes"" to solve our challenges, giving them an opportunity to grow their teamwork and social skills as well. We look forward to seeing you on Challenge Island!

Race Across the Rainforest STEAM Camp (Registration begins April 1) - AM CAMP

Race into an unforgettable journey through the amazing Amazon Rainforest with Challenge Island book characters Daniel, Joy, Kimani and DaVinci. You and your STEAM Team will zip through the jungle's action-packed layers, taking on challenges inspired by the rainforest's awesome animal inhabitants: from the playful monkeys to the hungry jaguars to the slithering anacondas on the dark and creepy forest floor. We'll also read The Race Across Anaconda Swamp together each day, and each child will receive a copy of the book, including bonus activities to continue the
adventure at home. This magical camp is a must for all kids who love animals, books, and endless adventure!

Please be sure to pack socks for your child to use when playing in the playscape on breaks.

3… 2… 1 Blastoff! You and a STEAM Team of astronaut friends will create your own Mission Control Station and soar through the universe. You'll learn the spectacular science of space while taking on a galaxy of cosmically cool challenges: from Rocket Launch Day to Moon Day to Intergalactic Day to Alien Day. Don't miss out on this out-of- this-world Challenge Island camp!
