Location:

Dance classes are taught at RARA in our studios located at 500 East Second Street, downtown Rochester.  The center features four stage-sized dance studios each with a large screen monitor for viewing classes, a large family waiting area, vending machines and lots of parking.  An indoor children's playscape is available for an extra fee.

Instructors:

Our dance teachers are trained, experienced, mature, and sensitive to the needs of both children and adults.  The teaching develops proper technique, and self confidence, enhancing body image, strength, and agility through dance.  Each student's enjoyment of the performing arts is at the center of all we do.

Attendance Policy:

Consistent attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class.  Please make every effort to have students at each class.  More than one absence in the last six weeks of the recital term could jeopardize the dancer’s performance opportunity.

Make-up Policy:

There are no make-up or refund opportunities for students who miss class due to illness, travel, family situations, etc.  Classes cancelled due to inclement weather conditions cannot be make up or refunded. There will be make-ups scheduled if the class is cancelled when an instructor is unable to conduct class. Make-up lessons may not be the same day or time as originally scheduled. If changes in the schedule are made, students will be notified by email or phone.

Dress Code Policy:

Dancewear is worn for all classes.  Students may not dance in street clothes.  No loose fitting clothing or excessive jewelry, please.  Hair must be worn off the neck, out of eyes and must be secured before class.  See shoe requirements with the class listings.   Detailed dancewear information is available on our website or request a handout at the front desk.
