Karate

Sanchin-Ryu Junior Karate and Self Defense

Sanchin-Ryu’s Child Safety (for kids 5-14 years old)

Gain life skills while learning how to deal with bullies!  Class topics include a range of personal safety strategies from how to handle a bully without fighting, to how to identify and protect yourself from a stranger.  Each week a personal safety topic is covered and specific techniques are practiced.  These classes provide your child with the necessary techniques to enable, broaden and advance their personal safety strategies.  Tremendous self-confidence is achieved!

Program Notes:

  • The art of self-defense (Sanchin-Ryu) is taught, which provides great exercise, entertainment and encourages each person to develop a greater level of discipline in his or her life.
  • Program is run in a positive, structured class environment.
  • Parents are encouraged to attend.
Adult & Family Sanchin-Ryu / Advanced Youth Sanchin-Ryu

The art of Sanchin-Ryu is taught in a way that allows adult students to grow and learn at their own pace.  We’ve found that this builds self-confidence, helps understand stress management and increases composure and self-defense awareness.  This program is also a great family activity!  Common sense self-defense ideas and techniques are examined and instructed.  The Advanced Youth Sanchin-Ryu program is held in conjunction with this program.  Youth students ranking Green Belt (2nd level) and above continue their Sanchin-Ryu training.
